    Our ivy-suckling hackberry trees finished coming down yesterday. I won’t miss my fear of being crushed in the middle of the night, but will certainly miss how they defended me from feeling like I live in a field. My dad cuts down trees and I’ve watched him leap around at 50+ feet with chainsaw in hand. While I used to think he was the only artist of his kind, I have to pay homage to Jason Skywalker who was equally unnerving in his craft.

    Helen and I made stuffed animals last night. We didn’t exactly work in separate vacuums, but it was pretty amazing how well they worked together. Can you tell who made which?
