The massive Chess Olympiad is currently going down. The US is faring moderately well. They have a critical match against Russia tomorrow. Russia has formed the strongest team in Olympiad history. The difficultly in finding intense nationalism and team loyalty in American Chess is that of the 5 players on the US team (listed in board order): Gata Kamsky is from Siberia (1) Hikaru Nakamura is from Japan (2) Alexander Onischuk is from Ukraine (5) Yury Shulman is from Russia (3) Varuzhan Akobian is from Armenia (4) Nakamura, is my personal favorite player in the world to watch right now. He is the best speed and bullet player bar none and is progressively becoming an elite standard player. BUT on a lighter note, please reblog with an indication of which of our 5 US Chess Athletes is the hottest!!??!? My vote goes to Gata Kamsky (1) circa early Nineties.
