one million .s

well i tried posting 1,000,000 periods here. it didn’t let me. i made them really fast in text edit and i admit it was fun. you can use copy paste to get to 1,000,000 in under 1 minute easily. if you make 1, copy it 10 times. then take that block of 10 copy it 10 times, etc you can get to 1,000,000 in 6 iterations of that.

. (1)

………. (10)

………………………………………………………………………………………. (100)

etc

each iteration takes less than 10 seconds. i didn’t get close to crashing the application, but i stopped at 1,000,000. see if you are brave enough to go far enough to crash things. it’s a fun exercise in thinking about big things and how exponents work. when you’re done think that if you could iterate that 81 times - which assuming no crashes - would take less than 15 minutes. you will have ten times as many more periods in your document than the estimates of the number of atoms in the observable universe

copy paste: 1, universe: 0
